Welcome! Thank you for taking the time to review a few samples of my work. My favorite work is always what I’m working on right now, so I have a few items not yet released that I keep password protected until my client is ready for them to be made public. In the meantime, the password is available for direct conversations. Just contact me and let’s talk!
A 2021 redesign of the LSU diplomas for bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees inspired by an LSU diploma from 1899.
This brochure series was designed for each senior college to have a brochure that could be used in coordination with the Universities undergraduate recruiting efforts. The design team worked closely together to develop the look within the brand parameters that were being developed by an outside agency, and then each team member took responsibility for 2-3 brochures and pulled in the specific content and personality of each college.
I worked closely with the College of Music & Dramatic Arts to design their personality into the brand. We took care to identify the images that could be manipulated to match the brand, and those that needed to be left untouched to respect the performance being featured.
When the president of the university decided to take a listening tour of the state and build support for LSU, he needed a ride that announced he was in town!
For this project, the LSU Government Relations team needed one-sheeters for Louisiana legislative session that provided each of the 144 state senators and representatives with data on the LSU economic impact in each of their respective districts. The project came about quickly, and we needed to generate the files in a 3-week window including time for production. I produced customized documents for each legislator with portraits, graphs, facts, and datapoints using the data merge function in Adobe InDesign.
All the documents shared the same reverse side containing information about the entire state.
These projects were completed early in my career. However, I learned a significant amount in the design, production, and installation of the work so I continue to include them in my portfolio.
For this community center that featured an ice rink and and aquatic center, stainless steel sheets were laser etched with the donors name and mounted in the lobby. The steel represented both the ice with its hard surface, and water with the liquid like reflections. The donations ranged from the contents of a child’s piggy bank to affluent community members, but all names were treated equally to reflect the collective accomplishment.
Prior to the construction on their performing arts center, LeMoyne College theatre program was run out of an old firehouse, and the performers would touch the fire pole to ensure a good show. To honor their history, we relocated their pole to the lobby of the new building and told the story on panels nearby. Replica brass posts were cut in half and placed behind pegged plexiglass signs bearing the names of donors who sponsored rooms throughout the facility.
